items like down comforters, animal duvet covers have
become the new sought after item to have. Animal duvet

for an expensive down throw or comforter.

your own. For middle classed pet owners, get a small
down mixture throw from your local general merchandise

purchase material. Try to find material that will not
show dirt easily and one that is washable. Buy enough
material to cover your entire throw. The ladies at the

Turn your material inside out. Then, using a sewing
machine, sew a manila envelope shape with the material,
leaving room and an opening at the top to fold over.
After finishing the sides, you can turn the material
right side in. Most duvets will have buttons to hold the
duvet in place, but with animal duvet covers, buttons
can pose a choking hazard, so Velcro is suggested.
Attach the Velcro to the underside of the flap as well
as the top of the envelope shape. Put your throw inside,
and you have your finished look.
This is great because when it becomes spoiled, you can
simply remove the throw and toss the cover into the
washing machine. Making your own animal duvet cover is
easy and fun. It allows you to also color coordinate
your pet’s bedding with your own or with the room in
