Winnie The Pooh Comforter Set

The Timeless Winnie the Pooh Comforter Set

Winnie the Pooh is timeless. Like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, almost every generation this century has grown up with their own version of the lovable characters from The One Hundred Acre Woods. Whether your favorite character is Eeyore, the grumpy donkey, Rabbit, the know it all, Kanga the mothering Kangaroo and her lovable son Roo, Piglet, the nervous best friend, Owl, the scholarly bird, Christopher Robin, or Pooh himself, chances are you had some sort of Winnie the Pooh paraphernalia as a child. You may have had a book, a stuffed doll, a movie, or even a Winnie the Pooh comforter set.

As children’s marketing continues to grow, you can buy comforter sets for virtually any children’s character or program. A lot of these characters and programs seem strange to parents, and are oftentimes fads or passing trends. With a Winnie the Pooh comforter set, at least you know that this is not the case.

At 22, my version of Winnie the Pooh was a Saturday morning cartoon series. Still on in syndication today, the adventures that I saw of Winnie the Pooh segued felt puppets into the bright colorful cartoon films that are popular today. My best friend, who I just gradated from college with, to this day still has the blanket from her Winnie the Pooh comforter set. Not just has it, either, but has it on her bed, and sleeps with it every night.

When I was a kid, I had a Pound Puppy blanket. Not only do I not know where it is, I don’t think anyone under the age of twelve would know what a Pound Puppy is. The great thing about Winnie the Pooh is that because of its timeless nature, you can pass down a Winnie the Pooh comforter set as a legacy, and not as a hand me down.

You would probably have a hard time as a parent trying to get your five year old to like the idea of getting their older sibling’s Care Bear’s comforter set. However, since Winnie the Pooh is just as popular now as he was ten or fifteen years ago, it is easy to make a Winnie the Pooh comforter set new again. Just by adding some new accents, like a new Pooh Bear doll or a new book, night light, or set of curtains, your five year old would be more than happy about his new bedroom decorations.

As each new school year comes around, new fads come and go. New television shows take a stab at success, new products try to entice the eyes and ears of our children. Each year though, with each passing generation, there are a couple of consistencies. As Power Rangers and Dragonball Z binders fill the aisles of your local department store and Bratz throw pillows start popping up in the girl’s bedroom section, there is on thing that you can count on. You will always be able to find a Winnie the Pooh comforter set.
